Agrofirm "Yuzhnaya" started harvesting grapes
On August 18, one of the country's leading viticulture enterprises, the Yuzhnaya agricultural company, which is part of the Ariant group of companies together with Kuban-Vino, began harvesting. Early varieties are being harvested, such as Bianka, Crystal, Solaris, Platovsky. There are 23 innovative harvesters working in the fields, which allow you to pick berries from the vine quickly and as carefully as possible. The harvesting rate is increasing to 1000 tons per day. Weather conditions have made adjustments not only in the timing of the harvesting campaign, but also in the harvest forecasts for 2021.
“Cool spring and early summer delayed bud development and flowering. But hot July had a positive effect on sugar accumulation, ripening took place at an accelerated rate. Showers hit the Krasnodar Territory from 12 to 15 August. In Temryuk district, almost an annual precipitation rate fell in a few days. Several of our sites were damaged, there were damage to the trellises and damage to the berries. It is still impossible to give any forecasts on the volume and quality of the crop, ”said Sergei Tarakhno, executive director of the Yuzhnaya agricultural firm.
Last year, the agricultural firm "Yuzhnaya" harvested 68,187 tons of grapes. Now the agronomists of the company are taking all measures to minimize losses and collect high quality grapes.
Vineyard areas have increased by 746 hectares this year. Today they amount to 8 896 hectares. In autumn, it is planned to plant another 595 hectares of young plantations of the varieties Krasnostop Anapsky, Merlot, Aligote, Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Cabernet Sauvignon and others. In total, the agricultural firm "Yuzhnaya" now has more than 12 thousand hectares of land. The Ariant group of companies plans to increase the area to 10 thousand hectares within a few years.
