In April 2017, the largest vineyard nursery in Russia was opened on the basis of the Yuzhnaya agricultural company. It is a high-tech nursery for the production of grafted grape seedlings, vegetative grafted grape seedlings with a closed root system, grafted grape seedlings with a ready-made stem. Agrofirm "Yuzhnaya" works according to the most advanced technology of open stratification - on water, which is practiced by individual farms in Europe.

Agrofirm "Yuzhnaya" stands at the origins of the creation of the first gene pool of high-quality varieties and clones in Russia, the creation of elite mother plants based on purification from viruses and confirmation of varietal reliability, the production of seedlings of autochthonous varieties, varieties and clones of introduced varieties. The most promising autochthons with exceptional characteristics and productivity in the Krasnodar Territory are Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Krasnostop Anapsky, Krasnostop Zolotovsky, Granatovy, Yekaterinodarsky, Platovsky, Sibirkovy, Varyushkin, Tsimlyansky black, Beysug white. "Yuzhnaya" not only cultivates these varieties, but also produces grafted seedlings of these rare and valuable native varieties of grapes.
The complex's capacity is 6 million vaccinations per year. The planting material is used both for the holding's own needs and for sale on the territory of the Russian Federation and abroad. The vineyard was opened within the framework of the President's program for the development of Russian viticulture and winemaking, as well as the implementation of the course of the Government of the Russian Federation on the policy of import substitution. The sale of planting material started in 2019. The widest certified species assortment of planting material is available to the consumer, which is not offered by any farm in Russia or in Europe: scion and rootstock cuttings, classic grafted seedlings with an open root system, vegetative grafted seedlings with a closed root system, grafted seedlings with a ready-made stem.

The nursery is also a research and production base for research institutes and specialized educational sites. The plans for 5 years are to implement a program for growing seedlings using in-vitro, in-vivo technology (seedling in a test tube): that is, to create an absolutely pure grape crop without viruses and bacteria.
The total area of the vaccination complex is more than 60,000 sq. m, on which the grafting complex, 2 geomembrane storage ponds, a greenhouse complex, a hydraulic unit, and warehouses are located.
Also, the infrastructure of the nursery outside the complex is represented by an intensive type of irrigated school for growing seedlings, mother stocks of stock and scion, collections.
The uniqueness of the nursery lies in the development of a system for the production of seedlings using a virus-free technology with the support of scientific institutions. All other things being equal, the plantings created from the rehabilitated material have a productivity 20-30% higher than the usual plantings.
