Employees of Kuban-Vino and the Yuzhnaya agrofirm took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the oil spill
On December 19, employees of the Industrial Winemaking Center, Villa Aristov, the Classic Winemaking Center, and the Yuzhnaya agricultural firm cleaned the Black Sea coast from fuel oil pollution that formed after the sinking of two tankers in the Kerch Strait.
In one day, through joint efforts, it was possible to collect more than 1.5 tons of fuel oil. It was packed into bags and sent to specialized enterprises for disposal. The injured birds found on the coast were transferred to the rescue center in Anapa.
In total, more than 4 thousand volunteers from all over Russia are participating in the liquidation of the consequences of the environmental disaster. According to the regional operational headquarters, the fuel oil is concentrated on the coastlines of the villages of Veselovka, Vityazevo and the village of Blagoveshchenskaya.
