Agrofirm Yuzhnaya started the grape harvest season
On August 11, one of the country's leading viticultural enterprises, the Yuzhnaya agricultural firm, which, together with Kuban-Vino, is part of the Ariant group of companies, began harvesting.
Now early varieties are harvested, such as "bianca", "crystal", "platovsky". There are 24 innovative harvesters in the fields, which allow you to pick berries from the vine quickly and with maximum care. The pace of harvesting is increasing up to 1,500 tons of grapes per day.
The pre-harvest period this year was not easy: the cold spring and frequent rains contributed to the growth of weeds and the reproduction of pests, so agronomists had to intensify work on cultivating the soil and protecting the vines. Now the forecasts for the harvest are optimistic - there are plans to harvest more than 80,000 tons of high quality grapes.
Today, the area of vineyards of the Yuzhnaya agricultural company is 9,146 hectares. More than 500 hectares of young vineyards will be planted in autumn. Such varieties as Merlot, Rkatsiteli, Cabernet Sauvignon, Magarach's Firstborn, Ugni Blanc and others will be planted.
