Agrofirm "Yuzhnaya" started harvesting grapes
On August 15, the country's largest viticulture enterprise, the Yuzhnaya agricultural firm, which, together with Kuban-Vino, is part of the Ariant group of companies, began harvesting.
Now the table variety "Augustin" is harvested, as well as such early technical varieties as "Bianca", "Crystal", "Platovsky". There are 24 innovative harvesters in the fields, which allow you to pick berries from the vine quickly and with maximum care.
The pre-harvest period this year was not easy. Volley showers and hail in the Temryuk region touched about 1000 hectares of Yuzhnaya vineyards. To minimize crop losses, agronomists had to increase the protection of berries from diseases. Now the forecasts for the season are optimistic: they plan to harvest more than 90 thousand tons of high quality grapes, which is in line with the company's average indicators. Recall that last year Yuzhnaya collected a record 113 thousand tons. High rates ensured favorable weather conditions.
Today, the area of vineyards of the Yuzhnaya agricultural company is 9,443 hectares. Planting plan for autumn 2023-spring 2024 - 633 ha. The company's share in the total area of vineyards in the Krasnodar Territory is 32%. The seedlings are provided by our own nursery, which is the largest not only in Russia, but also in Europe. The share in the production of seedlings in the region is 67%. In total, the Yuzhnaya agricultural firm now owns more than 13,000 hectares of land on the Taman Peninsula and near Anapa.
